Erané has been with Equine-Librium for nearly 10 years, working as a part-time assistant lecturer at the College and a full-time Veterinary Physiotherapist in the Clinic. She runs the mobile clinic, providing on-site care for clients, while also being available for treatments and consultations at the Clinic. She has loved every moment of her time here, finding the experience both rewarding and inspiring.
Erané is passionate about working with sport horses, particularly in the disciplines of show jumping, polo, and endurance. Over the past few years, she has worked with a wide variety of horses, gaining extensive experience and insight into performance management, injury rehabilitation, and long-term maintenance of equine athletes.
Her primary goal as a Veterinary Physiotherapist is to maintain, restore, and promote optimal function in her patients. She places a high value on their overall well-being, focusing equally on physical health, performance longevity, and the rehabilitation of injuries.
Erané lives happily with her family in Plettenberg Bay, where she enjoys the balance of professional fulfilment and a vibrant home life.
Veterinary Physiotherapist
Carléa’s journey with animals has been guided by a lifelong passion for their care, recovery, and performance. She completed her four-year Veterinary Physiotherapy qualification at Equine-Librium in 2019. After successfully running and growing her own practice for two years, she joined the Plett Equine-Librium team. In 2024, she furthered her academic achievements by obtaining a BSc degree through Equine-Librium’s RPL programme.
As a competitive show jumper, Carléa understands first-hand the dedication and care required for high-performance equine athletes. She also has a keen interest in post-operative and neuromuscular rehabilitation for dogs, as well as helping senior pets stay mobile, comfortable, and happy in their golden years.
Outside of work, you’ll often find her riding and competing with her horses, playing with her two dogs, or enjoying the outdoors with friends.
Veterinary Physiotherapist
Stephanie is a dedicated veterinary physiotherapist with a special passion for the wellbeing and performance of equine and bovine patients. She graduated in 2024 with distinctions, with her commitment to excellence and deep care for the animals she works with. Her connection to animals, especially horses, began early. She started riding at the age of three and was competing by six, continuing throughout her school years.
This lifelong involvement with equestrian sport shaped her understanding of animal movement and health, ultimately inspiring her career in veterinary physiotherapy.
Stephanie is deeply committed to ongoing professional development and makes it a priority to stay up to date with the latest research and treatment techniques, ensuring each patient receives the highest standard of care.
Outside of work, she enjoys exercising at the gym, running, and spending quality time with her two dogs and husband. Whether in the clinic, on the farm, or in her personal life, Stephanie approaches everything she does with energy, compassion, and purpose.
Veterinary Physiotherapist & Junior Lecturer
Johanné graduated cum laude in 2023, earning the title of dux student in her Veterinary Physiotherapy degree. After completing her studies, she returned to her family farm in the Karoo before taking up her current role as a Junior Lecturer and veterinary physiotherapist at Equine-Librium College in Plettenberg Bay.
She has a particular passion for exotic and wildlife cases, enjoying the mystery and challenge they present. A Karoo farm girl at heart, she’s happiest outdoors with her Border Collie, Riva, and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty.
In her spare time, you’ll find her outdoors with Riva, seeking out adrenaline-filled activities or enjoying a good workout.
