HYDROTHERAPY

The various physical properties of water plays an important role in the rehabilitation process. These properties include:

Relative density

Buoyancy

Hydrostatic pressure

Viscosity

Resistance

Surface tension

It is commonly used in the rehabilitation of patients as it decreases the weight on compromised joints and provides resistance to aid in muscle strengthening. Depending on the condition and ability of the patient we will either use the pool for swimming or the underwater treadmill.
